ISFI 2008, will be returning to the University of Cincinnati at the University’s Kingsgate Marriott Conference Center and Hotel.  The dates have been set for Monday, May 19 through Wednesday, May 21, 2008.

ISFI is the biennial professional symposium specializing in the application of modern fire science and technology to fire investigations and analyses. It is a truly international gathering of fire investigation and fire science experts from a worldwide spectrum of our professional community.  ISFI 2008 is organized by the National Association of Fire Investigators.

ISFI 2008 will bring together a cadre of internationally known and respected fire investigation professionals to present and discuss the cutting edge of the profession’s knowledge base in fire investigation science, research, technology, and methodology.  Over 200 delegates, presenters and exhibiters from eight countries attended ISFI 2006.  With the great success of ISFI 2006 and enthusiastic post-symposium reviews, attendance is expected to significantly increase for ISFI 2008.

Each day of the Symposium will offer plenary session presentations in the mornings and afternoon breakout presentation lectures.  Included in the delegate registration there will be daily continental breakfasts, daily buffet luncheons, and refreshment breaks throughout the day.  The Symposium language is English.

The popular ISFI social gatherings are also returning, including the Sunday night Pre-Symposium Informal Gathering, the Monday evening Cocktail Reception, and the Tuesday evening Gala “Black Tie” cocktail hour and dinner.

With the success of the corporate sponsorship program, instituted in ISFI 2006, we have continued and expanded the opportunities for professional corporate groups to support ISFI 2008 and gain some well deserved recognition and marketing.  This year the opportunities for Corporate Sponsorships will include: sponsorship of the hors d’oeuvres at the informal Sunday evening social gathering, the Monday evening cocktail reception, the Tuesday evening Gala Dinner cocktail hour, daily luncheons, daily refreshment breaks, the ISFI Delegate tote bags, inclusion of handouts in the Delegate tote bags. The Institution of Fire Engineers US Branch and the Institution of Fire Engineers International have partnered with ISFI 2008 as new institutional sponsors.  We welcome the IFE and all its members.
