Call For Papers
     
The ISFI Symposium Format
Authors wishing to present papers or posters at ISFI 2008 should submit abstracts not to exceed 750 words by October 1, 2007. If a submission has multiple authors, the presenting author’s name should appear first and be underlined. Please submit contact information for all authors. Authors whose abstracts are selected for papers or poster presentations will receive a substantial discount on the symposium registration fee. Successful submission authors will be notified by November 5, 2007. Each accepted paper will receive one discounted registration.

Completed papers and accompanying PowerPoint® presentations are due in the ISFI offices by February 25, 2008. Actual posters are due in at the conference center in Cincinnati by May 18, 2008.
     
The symposium will present plenary sessions, parallel breakout lectures, and poster presentations covering a broad spectrum of fire investigation topics:

-Chemistry/Physics -Electrical Fire Causes -Origin Determination
-Fire Dynamics -Scene Processing -NFPA 921

-Fuels/Materials -Training Programs -Explosions
     
Each day of the Symposium will be conducted with two plenary session presentations in the mornings, daily luncheons, refreshment breaks through out the day, afternoon breakout presentation lectures in the afternoon, and panel discussions to end the day. In the afternoon on Wednesday, May 21, 2008, a special topic Master Seminar will be held. Bound copies of the ISFI 2008 Proceedings will include presentation and poster papers and will be distributed to each symposium delegate. Additional bound copies or PDF versions of the Proceedings may be purchased. The Symposium language is English.
